November 16, 2009

MINUTES

 

 

 

1.  CALL TO ORDER  - President Norvill called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Others present:  Channel 22 Representative; Dr. Marx, Superintendent;

and Ms. S= traiker, Teacher

5.  APPROVAL OF MINUTES=

 

A.&n= bsp;    Approve minutes of the October 15, 2009 regular meeting.

 

Motion by Klyber, seconded = by Vangunten to approve the October 15, 2009 minutes of the regular meeting.  Motion carried.

 

B.&n= bsp;    Approv= e the executive session minutes of the Oct. 15, 2009 regular meeting.<= /b>

 

Motion by Newlan, seconded = by Schwader to approve the executive session minutes of the Oct. 15, 2009 regular meeting.  Motion carried.

Motion by Pool, seconded by= Schwader to approve the minutes of the October 26, 2009 special meeting.  Motion carried.

Motion by Potts, seconded b= y Newlan to approve the executive session minutes of the October 26, 2009 special meeting.  Motion carried.

Motion by Pool, seconded by= Schwader to approve the Consent Agenda as presented.  On roll call, the following votes = were recorded:

7.  SUPERINTENDENT/PRINCIPAL  REPORT 

 

  1.   The purpose was to honor thos= e who have served our country and develop an understanding of their efforts = in our youth. 
  2. Our basketball season is in full swing.  The athletes are playing well= and having fun.  Come to our = home games to see them.
  3.   It will be ready for approval= in the spring.    =
  4.   The extra instruction is show= ing improvement with students’ reading skills.  After school on Wednesday Nov= . 18th, Mrs. Giunta will present a workshop for all staff regarding the integr= ity of instruction and data collection process.  For comparability, it is very important for everyone to follow the same procedures.

A.&n= bsp;    Approv= e to pay a long term substitute (employed in the same teaching position for more than 10 consecutive days) at base salary divided by 180 days for each consecutive day of employment over ten days.  The first 10 days =3D regular subs= titute teaching rate.

C.&n= bsp;    Approv= e to pay Ms. McKenna Schweinberg-Harless $1,000.00 as 7th grade volleyball coach for the 2009-2010 season.   

 

Motion by Schwader, seconde= d by Vangunten to approve to pay Ms. McKenna Schweinberg-Harless $1,000.00 as 7<= sup>th grade volleyball coach for the 2009-2010 season.  On roll call, the following votes = were recorded:
